The fabulous Rachel Ray has lots of great diy projects for you to use for your next upcoming parties. One of my latest brides used one of her candy bar wrappers for her wedding favors. Too cute! Check out her website for further details:http://www.rachaelraymag.com/party-planning/do-it-yourself—get-togethers/article.html
Here are some sample projects that you can create and personalize.

A few weeks ago I volunteered my time to plan Joleen Medina, of A Sweet Design’s Grand Opening. The day was such a success with help from these fabulous vendors:
DJ Lee Dyson www.djleedyson.com
Michael of Forever True Photography (the amazing pictures that you see below) www.forevertruephoto.com
Jackie Combs Floral Design www.jackiecombsfloraldesign.com
Throughout the night we sold raffle tickets to raise money for MEND charity, tried lots of delicious treats and enjoyed the company of all of Joeleen’s friends, colleagues and family. Thanks to those who donated gifts to our raffle: Heather Ham of It’s all twisted, California Pita Kitchen, The Station Restaurant, Gena of Cookie Lee, Laura Engel and Jackie Combs of Jackie Combs Floral Design.
Here are some pictures from the event.

Today I visited one of my favorite inspiration blogs, http://www.hostessblog.com/ where I came across this great post on photo books by: Apple http://www.apple.com/ilife/iphoto/printproducts.html that I HAD to share with you!
How great would this be as a gift to yourself, friends, bridesmaids, and in-laws? What a wonderful way to keep memories of wedding pictures, birthdays and bachelorette parties, to name a few. Also great for vendors who want to have their work professionally displayed. 🙂 They’re so reasonably priced ($9.99-$29.99) and come in three styles; hard, soft or spiral bound.
Its as easy as:
-choosing from 13 different styles
-copying and pasting your favorite photos in the selected book
– selecting page layouts
-rearranging photos as desired
And tah dah….. you have a great album filled with great momentos!

Bridal Showers are becoming more and more detailed and complex… almost like mini weddings. So I was so excited when asked to plan and be a part of a bridal shower for Laura Engel.
There are so many themes to choose from but Laura’s bridesmaids wanted a theme that was different and a reflection of the bride to be. I began with constructing a questionnaire for the bride to be.
Here are some of the questions that I asked…
Favorite color: Yellow
Favorite food: Pizza or anything Italian
Favorite flowers: sunflowers
Favorite dessert: Red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting
Favorite drink: Anything with champagne 🙂
With all of these questions and more we came up with an “Under the Tuscan Sun” theme for Laura’s Bridal Shower.
The Bridal Shower was held at the residence of one of her bridesmaids. When the guests arrived they walked down a pathway of sunflowers which led them to the backyard. The guests sipped on peach bellinis while listening to the great Frank Sinatra. They then continued with an italian lunch followed by bridal shower activities. Dessert was delicious red velvet cupcakes from Joeleen of A Sweet Design. Did you notice the sunflower design? 🙂
