I hope everyone has a safe and fun Halloween!
Here’s a picture of my delightful god son, Samuel, dressed up as Superman. đ I know I’m a bit biased, but isn’t he just adorable?!?!?!
Laura and Justin have got to be the most bubbly, outgoing people I know. So when it came time to select a color palate for their summer wedding nuptials, I knew their colors would be bright, cheery and over the top.
Their color palate consisted of fuschia, orange, yellow (bride’s favorite color), dark purple, brown (groom’s favorite color) with touches of green. Many of the shades were also reflected in the handmade crystal beads and rhinestones seen hanging throughout the breathtaking location. In addition, the bride and groom had so much fun with colors that the groom chose matching brown, orange and white tennis shoes for his groomsmen.
Laura and Justin are both from Los Angeles, so having their wedding at Laura’s parents home in Bear Valley (2 hrs away), became a definite, destination wedding. All of their vendors were found in the Bear Valley area or in close proximity. Being that it was a wedding at a home, everything had to be brought in from the tables, to the chairs, heaters, dance floor etc. Much of her parent’s home was even redone in preparation for their wedding. So it was great to hear comments from their guests that their home should be rented out for future events.
Here are a few details from their day:
Instead of a traditional gift, the bride surprised her groom with a groom’s cake. Justin and his groomsmen were “super stoked” when they saw the Toronto Blue Jay’s logo on it. Thanks Joeleen for getting the cake to us safe and sound. It was super delish!
And they lived happily ever after!
Thank you again to all the vendors for making this day so memorable!

In honor of everyone who just recently got engaged, especially my friends, Lisa and Jonathan… CONGRATULATIONS!!!
I’d like to share some unique proposals I found with you! It was very hard to narrow it down to three, but I’m sure you’ll enjoy my selections as much as I do.
Enjoy!
Julie and Mark got married at the beautiful Los Verdes Country Club in Palos Verdes overlooking the golf course with the ocean in the distance. Their ceremony and cocktail hour took place on the terrace under the gazebo with their reception inside the Vista Ballroom. Their theme was a whimsical color combination; shades of orange intermingling with the blue colors of the ocean.
I had the privilege of working with the award winning photographers from The Image is Found. www.theimageisfound.com They are extremely down to earth and captured some amazing shots. It was also refreshing to work with photographers who got things done when they said they would. Thank you!
Mary from Ava’s Garden provided the florals and they looked amazing!!!
Thanks again to all the vendors for making this day so fabulous for our bride and groom!

Brides are becoming more and more creative everyday and coming up amazing ideas to customize their wedding, even down to the details of their aisle runner. Check out some of my favorite aisle runners in addition to the history of their beginning.
History of the Aisle Runner
“The history of the wedding aisle runner includes both practical and spiritual accounts. In the days of muddy streets, the wedding guests would track dirt and mud into the church. Not wanting to walk through the grime, an aisle runner was laid to protect the bride’s dress. After all the guests were seated, an usher would unroll the aisle runner to give her a clean path to the alter.
It is also said that in ancient times, it was believed that evil spirits lurked beneath the earth’s surface. The bride, considered to be pure, was therefore particularly vulnerable to these spirits. Fearing the spirits would rise up through the floorboards of the church, an aisle runner was laid for her to walk on to protect her from those spirits and preserve her purity.”
